Matt and Laura have been in full-time Christian ministry for 11 years now.  They both graduated from Appalachian State University in North Carolina, and then spent their first year out of college teaching on the island of Saipan in the South Pacific.  The next 10 years brought three children, two student ministry positions at nondenominational churches in the U.S., 8 moves to various houses in both the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and nine more countries seen and ministered in.  Matt is a passionate leader with a heart for loving the poor and mentoring young people.  He has experience leading both adult teams and student teams worldwide, and is authentically committed to follow Christ, no matter the cost.  Laura has an education degree and is currently homeschooling their three small children.  She is a writer who’s pen is busy at their family blog Cereal for Dinner, as well as a website for those seeking Christian Spirituality called Tattered Couch (to be launched in Feb. 2010).

Breanna’s House of Joy was founded by the Moritz family after the death of their daughter, Breanna, who was killed in a car accident.  Bill is a lawyer for the Navigators and is heavily vested in the foundation– in fundraising, by leading trips of volunteers, and in leadership.  His nonprofit foundation New Horizons Foundation also handles the accounting for several Christian ministries, including Joy to the World.  He and his wife, along with board members in the States , provide the support and accountability for the ministry.
