What does the cost of my trip cover?
The price quoted for all trips cover all transportation, food and lodging while in country. Each trip comes with a professional trip guide and translators while on appropriate projects. Airfare, passport costs, visa costs, travel insurance and vaccination costs are not covered in our price.
Should I get vaccninations?
We recommend at bare minimum that each participant have recieved all of their regular childhood vacinations. In addition, we recommend the following:
- Typhoid
- Hepatitus A
- Hepatitus B
- Tetnus
- Rabies
What about Malaria?
It is possible to catch Malaria in the Northern Jungles of Thailand. We encourage participants to bring with them a prescription of Malaria pills to take while we travel in the North. It is not necessary to remain on the medications once we return to Chiang Mai and the souther regions.
Can I raise support to attend this trip through my local charity or church?
Many of our participants raise support to attend our program and then have their church or non-prophit mail us a check. We are totally willing to participate in this method of funding or you can use our 5013-c umbrella if you are not associated with a church.
When is my payment due?
To hold your spot on one of our trips we request a deposit of $500 USD to be sent no later than three months before you trip date. If you are coming last minute after the deposit deadline and we have room you must send it your deposit ASAP. Full payment of your trip is due one month before you arrive in Thailand. Deposits and payments can be made online HERE (Please be sure to select the proper “Operating Project” which is Joy to the World- Thailand Parkers) or a check can be mailed to:

Is this a Christian Organization?
Yes, Destined Traveler was founded and is currently operated by Christians, however we encourage all faith backgrounds to participate with us.
Can I make payments online?
Yes, your deposit and trip costs can all be paid online through our non-profit 501-3C if you reside in the United States. Simply click HERE to be transferred to New Horizons Foundation donation page(our 501-3c umbrella) and donate to the “Operating Project” entitled “Joy to the World- Thailand Parkers”. In the comments section, make sure to put your full name and the trip dates you have selected. All donations made through our organization and costs of your trip are tax-deductible and you will automatically be mailed a receipt.
